Pathfinder Gaming was founded in 2025 by Ken Light, a lifelong gamer and veteran of the online gaming world. Ken’s passion for gaming began in childhood, when he first played Space Invaders on the Atari with his cousin. A few years later, he unwrapped a Nintendo 64 on Christmas morning and spent countless hours with his brother playing Wave Race, Mario Kart, and the legendary GoldenEye 007.

The journey accelerated when Ken received a PlayStation 2 and discovered SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs. This game opened his eyes to the power and potential of online gaming and esports. Armed with nothing more than a handheld camera, Ken began filming gameplay directly from his television and creating videos of his clan’s matches. Together with his friends, he climbed the leaderboards and competed in hundreds of clan wars across the internet.

As technology advanced, Ken moved on to Halo and Call of Duty with his first Xbox, becoming not only a player but an avid fan of esports and the content creation scene. Fast forward to Call of Duty: WWII, where Ken found his first breakthrough by producing sniper and throwing-knife montages—pure entertainment that captured the energy of the game. With the release of Call of Duty: Cold War, Ken launched the Amateur World League (AWL), a community-run online league that mirrored the professional circuit and brought players together in a competitive but welcoming environment.

Over time, as life evolved and Ken became a father, his time online became more limited—but his love for gaming and its community never faded. He continued playing titles like Warzone, Minecraft, PUBG, DayZ, GTARP, and ARMA, all while envisioning a way to give back to the next generation of gamers. That vision became Pathfinder Gaming—an initiative dedicated to helping young and underprivileged gamers find an easier path into the world of gaming, esports, and content creation.
